My Experience
I obtained my dual bachelors degree in Cognitive Science and Psychology from Oswego State University in New York State. I obtained my Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at William James College in Boston Massachusetts.
I have worked in various settings helping clients with a range of problems including anxiety, depression, going through life transitions, bipolar and other mood disorders, ADHD, PTSD, substance use disorders, grief and loss, and personality disorders, etc.
I have been a licensed professional counselor with a mental health service provider designation (LPC-MHSP) in Tennessee since September of 2021. I am also a LMHC in New York state since April of 2020.
I would describe my approach as warm, empathetic, person centered, and solution focused. I will work with you to help you reach your goals and make positive changes in your life. I use an eclectic approach pulling techniques from many theories including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
